Bird hunters successful

Lamont

Several local bird hunters had the hunt of a lifetime last week when they set out before daylight to set up their blinds. They were hunting on burnt winter wheat land. They each had their limit of four geese and many ducks by 7:30 a.m. Those taking part in the hunt were Steven Engles, Andrew Shields, Terry Kissler, Chris Shields, Sandi Swannack, Scott Engles and his dog, Page.

Sandi Swannack and Amund Melville each recently bagged their first elk south of Lamont.
