Attorneys file recall notices

Spokane attorney Brian Werst of K & L Gates LLP filed notice in superior court Friday, July 23, that he will represent Commissioner Greg Partch in the upcoming recall petition hearing Aug. 2 in superior court.

Edward Turner, an attorney with the Spokane firm of Stamper Rubens, filed an official notice of appearance Monday on behalf of County Commissioner Pat O’Neill.

Judge William Acey of Asotin county will preside at the hearing which will determine whether the recall a petition filed by Roger Whitten of Oakesdale qualifies under state law to advance to a petition stage for placement on a ballot.
