Garfield UMC Church to renovate sanctuary

A bid from Renstrom Homes, Inc of Garfield, has been accepted by the Garfield United Methodist Church board of Trustees to renovate the sanctuary ceiling and walls.

Renstrom Homes will remove water damaged plaster, hang, tape and texture sheet rock and paint the interior walls and ceiling of the church sanctuary and interior entrance steps area. Church members are in the process of removing the piano, organ and church pews, so that scaffolding can be set up. Work began April 20 and will be completed in June.

Worship services will be downstairs fellowship hall until the renovation is complete....
