Plans start for student trip to Washington, D.C.

Lacrosse

LaCrosse teachers, Mike Jones and RaeAnn Fleming, are in the process of organizing a trip to Washington, DC. Students will have the opportunity to tour Washington, DC and surrounding historical sites. The trip will take place in the summer of 2011.

A parent/student meeting will be slated as soon as trip details are finalized. The students will be earning money for the trip through odd jobs, yard work and other fund raising activities.

The Washington DC students are currently selling locally grown game hens and/or roosters donated by Pheasant Valley of LaCrosse. They will be dressed and ready to eat or freeze. The birds are ready to go so orders are being accepted now. Contact Kim Berquist or RaeAnn Fleming.

Saturday a baseball doubleheader between SJE in LaCrosse/Washtucna will begin at 11 a.m. There will be a softball doubleheader in Washtucna also beginning at 11. The track team will travel to Royal City Saturday.

Hunter’s Safety Training at the LaCrosse Gun Club will be taught April 20, 22, 27, 28 and 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. Students under 12 must be accompanied by a parent. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Contact Stacy Aune.
