Colfax Junior Miss competition set for March 20

Eight Colfax High school juniors will compete in the Colfax High School Junior Miss competition next Saturday, March 20, beginning at 7 p.m. in the CHS auditorium. Theme for the program will be "Expedition Junior Miss." Approximately $3,000 in scholarship prizes will be awarded, and the winner will compete in the Washington Junior Miss Competition at Pullman in April. Colfax Junior Miss Heather Harder and 2009 finalists Allison Vorderbrueggen and Brooke Waldo will participate in the Colfax program.

Tori Benson, is the daughter of Max and Chris Benson. She will perform a monologue "My Buddy, My Friend," for her talent.

Shaina Simonson, is the daughter of Donna Simonson. She will play the "Pink Panther" on the tenor saxophone.

Maggee Cochran, is the daughter of Terry and Nancy Cochran. She will sing "The Gift of a Friend" by Demi Lovato.

Emily Ledbetter is the daughter of John and Rachelle Ledbetter. She will perform a dance to "Defying Gravity."

Brooke Webber is the daughter of Jon and Angie Webber. She will sing "In My Own Little Corner" from Rogers and Hammerstein Cinderella.

Ashlynn Thompson is the daughter of Keith and Brigette Thompson. She will dance to Hanna Montana's "Hoe Down Throw Down."

Kaci Kopczynski is the daughter of Steve and Sandy Kopczynski. She will perform "Think of Me" by Andrew Lloyd Webber, on the flute.

Kara Foreyt is the daughter of Bill and Kristine Foreyt. She will recite an excerpt from "Alice in Wonderland."
