Choir attends symphony

Garfield Palouse choir students, from both the middle school and the high school, were treated to a full afternoon of some Mozart’s finest music played by the Spokane Symphony and Symphony Choral Feb. 14. Tickets for the program were provided by the Garfield-Palouse Arts Booster organization.

The program included performance by Garfield Palouse Choir Director Rebecca Hemphill, and featured crowd favorite Eine Kliene Nachtmusik and a concerto for flute and harp showcasing two of the Spokane Symphony’s principle players.

Students attending were middle schoolers Emily Keeney, Mikayla Lawhorn, Tyler Thurman, Gabe Cocking, Libby Akin, McKenzie Wells, Sarah Bailey, Nicole Walton, Sammi Johnson, Dakota Robinette, Blaise Anderson, Jim Jahn. High school students attending were Nyna Van Harn, Becky Nelson, and Emma Akin.

Chaperones were Middle School Principal Zane Wells and parents Kim Wells and Mary Cocking.
