Heavys lead Bulldogs at big Warden mat tourney

Daniel Kuhlmann of the Bulldogs books a first round pin of Kyle Keeling of Reardan in the round robin matches last Thursday at Reardan.

Saturday at the Jeremiah Schmuck Invitational host Warden and Kittitas, the team which stacked a big win last week at Pomeroy, locked up in a team battle. Warden prevailed with a 235.5 vs. 203 for the K club.

Colfax rolled up 41 points for a seventh place finish.

Top finishers for the Bulldogs came in the heavyweight classes with fourth-place finishes by Daython Maltone at 215 and Ben Cochran in the heavyweight class.
