Hospital staff delivers food donations

Whitman Hospital employees Dustin McGillic, left, and Gary Johnson loaded food donations for the F.I.S.H. Food Bank in Colfax. Approximately 580 pounds of food were donated by hospital staffers, according to Laurie Gronning, marketing coordinator at the hospital. Staffers put together a collection of soup mixes, noodles, sauces, and other food supplies for the food pantry which was exceptionally low this September. They loaded up the food Monday morning and delivered it to the F.I.S.H. food pantry at St. Patrick’s parish hall. Gronning noted the hospital staff conducts a drive a few times a year.
