    COLFAX — Whitman County Commissioners discussed the two bridges affected by fires during their 9 a.m. Workshop meeting Tuesday, Sept. 5.     WINONA — Local fire crews contained the Winona Fire after it decimated 2,525 acres last weekend, and the investigation as to what started the fire has been finalized.     COLFAX — In a Whitman County Superior Court hearing Friday, Sept. 1, the two nineteen-year-old males who allegedly robbed five Washington State University Students Saturday, July 1, pled guilty to single felony robbery counts against each man.     COLFAX — Residents affected by recent wildfires in Eastern Washington can apply for emergency cash assistance through the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). In an emergency proclamation on Aug. 19, effective through Friday, Sept. 29, Governor Jay Inslee released funding to activate the Disaster Cash Assistance Program to help residents of Whitman, Spokane, and Pend Oreille counties.
