    Candidates can begin sending their official filings Friday for dozens of positions on various town councils, school boards and rural districts throughout Whitman County that will be up for election this fall. Those wishing to throw their hats in the ring can mail candidacy filings to the county auditor’s office through 5 p.m. June 10.     Track competitors in the SE district 2B schools will converge at Martin Field in Walla Walla today and Friday for the district championship and two tickets per event to the big state show at EWU next week.
