    Chris (Christina) Nelson of Endicott declared her intention to run for Whitman County treasurer Jan. 12. “I see where additional improvements can be made or improvements to areas that haven’t been tackled yet,” she said.   • Haunted hospital offers February tours

    Six public haunted hospital tours for the St. Ignatius building in Colfax will be next month. “I had so many people call in December and January,” said Val Gregory, Colfax unified executive director. She said people do not even care if it is cold, they just want to get in. Two of the three private tours have already been sold. Tickets are still available for the public tours.
