Dahmen named Colton DYW

Jordana Dahmen, second from left, was named 2012 Colton-Uniontown Distinguished Young Woman March 31.

The 21st edition of the competition featured a “Fly Me to the Moon” theme which included Sinatra tunes, dancing and musical performances.

Jordana also received the “spirit award” and $700 in scholarship funds.

Samra Meyer, right, was named first alternate and received a $300 scholarship.

Also competing were Payton Meyer, left, and Kaden Dahmen, second from right.

This year’s program was chaired and choreographed by Jane Ann Nagle with the support of many volunteers and generous donors.

Emcee was Afton Spence.

Making special guest appearances were Mikayla Nygreen, 2011 Colton/Uniontown Junior Miss, and Jocelyn LejaMeyer, Clarkston second alternate.
