ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
CITY OF Tekoa SCRUB SEAL PROJECT
Sealed bids will be received at Tekoa City Hall, 419 N. Washington Street, P.O. Box 927, Tekoa, WA 99033, until 2:00:00 PM, Thursday May 30, 2024, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday May 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Tekoa City Hall at 419 N WashingtonStreet, Tekoa, WA.
Base Bid: The base bid work generally consists of completing a scrub seal over approximately 10,345 SY of existing asphalt and including a fog seal over the finished scrub seal. Contractor will need to remove buildup in large cracks to allow CSS penetration as part of the Contract as identified in the Contract Documents.
Twenty (20) working days will be allowed to complete the
Base Bid
Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by cash, a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond, payable to the City of Tekoa, in an amount not less
than five percent (5%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond, each in the full amount of
the contract price.
Bidders may obtain project documents at the Century West Engineering online plan room at http://www.centurywestplanroom.com. Bidders may download digital documents at no cost and obtain printed documents, at Bidders Expense, by choosing the “Order” option. Posted on this plan room, under the “Documents” section, is an Official list of locations where documents may be examined.

Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

This project is funded in part through the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board funds. All work performed will be subject to state prevailing wage rates. The City shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding documents or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular.
