"Medication Take Back" this Saturday

COLFAX — The Substance Use Prevention Education and Resources (SUPER) program for Colfax is hosting its “Spring Medication Take Back Day” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at the Colfax library patio, 102 South Main Street.

Everyone is invited to clean out their medicine cabinets to get rid of all the medications that they no longer use in a safe way.

Attendees can bring their unused, expired or unneeded medications for the take back. Attendees can also drop off pet medications and vape devices with the batteries removed.

There will be free locking medications storage boxes again this year, while supplies last.

SUPER is teaming up with the Whitman County Department of Health, who will be on site with sharps containers and other vital health information.

The Colfax Police Department is also partnered again this year, helping to safely dispose of all outdated medications.
