ST. JOHN — Following their first official varsity golf match of the season, the Colfax Bulldogs and St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse Eagles golf programs had an impressive showing in their second match.

The match was held on Thursday, April 11, in Deer Park.

For the boys, the overall winner was Dan Harrington of Northwest Christian (Colbert). He shot a 72.

Jacob Ward would finish 18th for Colfax with a round of 89, and Connor McAnally took 45th with his round of 104.

The girls side saw Almira-Coulee-Hartline’s Naomi Molitor take first with a round of 82, followed closely by the Eagles McKenzie Stanley. Stanley finished the day with a round of 82.

“I’m really excited about how all three players bounced back after a tough round in Clarkston. These next couple weeks of work are going to be really important to get ready for post-season, hopefully culminating in a state appearance,” said Colfax Head Coach Elias Whitefoot.

The next varsity golf match will be Tuesday, April 23, in Latah Creek.
