ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

TOWN OF FARMINGTON,

WASHINGTON OTTA SEAL PROJECT 2024

BID DATE, April 9, 2024

Sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk of the Town of Farmington in a sealed envelope clearly marked “OTTA SEAL 2024” located at City Hall, 203 Main St. Farmington, Washington 99128, until 2:00 p.m. local time April 9, 2024, and will then and there be opened and publicly read for the construction of the improvements.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit

shall be forfeited to the Town of Farmington.

The right is reserved to reject any and all bids and to waiver informalities in the bidding. The improvement for which bids will be received is described below:

OTTA SEAL on approximately 3.23 miles of gravel streets in Farmington. The Town of Farmington is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (Small, Minority- and Women-Owned Businesses) are encouraged to submit bids. All work performed on the project will be subject to State of Washington prevailing wage rates. All contractors must be licensed to conduct business in the State of Washington.

The Town of Farmington, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all

bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
