Trout fishing season underway in Whitman County

COLFAX — On Friday, March 1, more than two dozen lakes in Eastern Washington opened for trout fishing.

The lakes in Whitman County currently open for trout fishing are:

Pampa Pond: Located on State Highway 26 near LaCrosse.

Rock Lake: Open year round in Whitman County.

Trout fishing information can be found by going to the WDFW’s website.

To fish in Washington, “anglers” must have a valid fishing license. Such licenses can be purchased online, or at various license dealers across Washington.
