Norma Lee Johnson

Norma Lee (Bruce) Johnson, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 2, 2024, at her home in Yakima, Wash. Norma was born on May 6, 1945, in Tensed, Idaho, to Lawrence & Violet Bruce. She and her three siblings grew up in Farmington, Wash. Norma graduated from Oakesdale High School in 1963, and on October 3, 1964, she married Bruce M. Johnson. They were married for 57 years before his passing on April 4, 2021. After they were married Bruce and Norma settled in Spokane where they both attended school. They later moved to Colfax, Wash., and started their family.

Their first child, Janell, was born in 1966, followed by Janet in 1968, and Adam in 1971. In 1973, life took them to Yakima, where they raised their family in the West Valley area. Although Norma's career took many paths over the years, she spent the last 20+ years in the sign industry, working first for Dwinell's Sign Company, and later for Tube Art Signs, where she held numerous positions over her career.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce M. Johnson, & her brother Lyle Bruce. She is survived by her children, Janell (Mark) Eshleman, and their children Nicholas (Melissa) Eshleman, & Payton Eshleman, her daughter Janet Johnson, and her children, Hannah (Alec) Beaumont, & Kaitlyn (Brenner) Hall, and her son Adam (Kristin) Johnson, her sisters Janet (Brian) Ladyman, & Beverly Babbit, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank care providers Judy Evans and Keisha Lowell for the care and friendship provided to our mother/grandmother, you made a difference in her life.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
