Bulldogs all over 2B South All-League recognition

Took home both boys and girls league MVP honors

COLFAX - During halftime of both the boys and girls 2B district championship games, the All-League honors were announced for the north and south divisions.

In the south division, the Bulldog girls had four players and their head coach recognized. The boys had four players recognized.

Brynn McGaughy won MVP for the girls 2B south division. She has been dominate on the offensive and defensive ends all season, and proved that she is tough to stop from anywhere on the floor.

Both Hailey Demler and Brenna Gilchrist were awarded with First-Team honors. Demler has been exceptional on three-point shooting as of late, and is always in double-figure scoring.

Gilchirst dominates at the point guard position, either looking for her own shot, or racking up assists to McGaughy, Demler, and the other Bulldog players.

Lauryn York was awarded with Second-Team All-League honors. York has made lives easy for her teammates as she knows how to make the open pass to get everyone involved offensively.

Jordan Holmes was awarded Coach of The Year for her perfect district record and district championship this season. Holmes has called the right plays all season long, and is not afraid to make necessary adjustments in game when needed to maximize success for her team.

For the boys, Adrik Jenkin of Colfax took home the MVP award. He has dominated from three, and is not afraid to drive hard to the basket and dunk the ball when needed.

Jayce Kelly of Colfax was awarded First-Team All-League. He and Jenkin would always compete for highest scorer between the two each game. As of late, Kelly has been the focal point of the offense, leading Colfax to a crossover match Saturday, Feb. 17.

Seth Lustig received First-Team All-League honors as well. He is a true point guard, calling out plays each time down the floor, as well as running them to perfection to maximize results for the Bulldogs.

JP Wigen was awarded with Second-Team All-League honors. Wigen was dominant defensively, securing rebounds and blocking key shots from opponents while staying active offensively.
