Faye Lueck

Faye Lueck, 89, a resident of Emida, Idaho, passed away on January 26, 2024, at the Ladow Court Assisted Living in Garfield, Wash.

She was born on February 8, 1934, at Drumheller, Alberta, Canada, to Benjamin and Lola (McKinney) Wall. Her family moved to Palouse, Wash., when she was a young child and she attended the Palouse Schools graduating from the Palouse High School in 1952.

She married Chuck Lueck on July 20, 1952, and the couple lived on the family farm before moving to Emida, Idaho, in 1962.

Faye worked as a secretary for the Upriver School District in Emida, which later moved to Fernwood, Idaho. She worked for the School District from Oct. 1967 until June of 1996 after 29 years of service.

Mr. Lueck passed away in 2016. She continued to live at Emida on the farm until she moved to the Ladow Court in Garfield, Wash.

She enjoyed her flowers and ranch work.

Survivors include one son, Monty Lueck (Tami) Emida, Idaho; one daughter, Marnie Johnson, Emida; and one sister, Lila Johnson, Pullman, Wash. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Nicki Charles and Kacia Wunderlich; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Kathy.

A graveside burial service was held on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery, Palouse, Wash.

Memorials may be given to Gentiva Hospice or to the Upriver Saddle Club, Box 164, Santa, ID 83866.
