Whitman County Libraries team up with Veterans Service Officer

COLFAX— The Whitman County library is teaming up with Whitman County Veteran Service Officer Becky Buri, to give information Veterans Affairs presentations at several libraries across Whitman County.

A Veteran’s Service Officer is a VA trained and accredited advocate for veterans who assists in obtaining benefits earned through military service.

Presentations will include information about resources including navigating eligible benefits, claims and pensions; health care, eligibility and registration; VocRehab, Education, training and employment; Burial and survivor; housing and transportation; military records; representing at VA Hearings.

Albion Library, Wednesday, Jan. 17, at noon; Colton library on Monday, Jan. 22, at 11 a.m .; Colfax library, Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 1 p.m .; Endicott Library, Friday, Feb. 2, at 1 p.m .; Farmington Library, Thursday, Feb. 15, at 2:30 p.m .; Garfield Library Wednesday, Feb. 28, at noon.
