Santa Claus visits Endicott Gun Club

ENDICOTT - The Town of Endicott hosted a "Cookies and Cocoa with Santa Claus," event on Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Endicott Gun Club.

This year's event had a fireworks display at 6 p.m., followed by a visit from Santa, treats and mingling after the fireworks show in the decorated gun club filled with Christmas trees and displays.

Organizer Jessica Pellissier said that her husband Jim Pellissier was Santa Claus this year.

"We didn't do a parade this year," she said, noting that her mom, Teri Garrett, sets up Christmas trees every year with different themes in the Gun Club.

Pellissier said Endicott Food Center owner Jennifer Myers brought cocoa and cookies, and some community members also brought goods. "She does treat bags," Pellissier said.

Pellissier said her mom and her stepdad, Larry Garrett, also helped with the event by decorating.

This year's event didn't have as many people show up as last year, Pellissier said.

"I think the community liked it. They like to come see Santa and pick their favorite trees," she said, noting that they do the event every December on the second Saturday of the month at the Gun Club.

Pellissier added that everybody is always welcome.
