Bulldog teams compete this week

COLFAX — The Colfax Bulldogs basketball teams will look to continue their hot starts to the season as the season enters its second full week of play.

The girls basketball team will host the Clarkston Bantams at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7.

The boys team will play after the girls, with tip off against the Bantams at 7:30 p.m.

The game will be the third-straight home game for the Bulldogs to open the 2023-24 season.

Both teams will have away games Friday, Dec. 8 at Mabton. Those will be the first away games of the season for both teams.

The girls game is set to start at 6 p.m., and the boys game at 7 p.m.

Along with basketball, the Bulldogs wrestling season is underway.

The Colfax girls wrestling team will have a girls meet on Thursday, Dec. 7, at East Valley (Spokane Valley).

On Saturday, Dec. 9, the boys wrestling team will travel to Connell for a tournament set to start at 8 a.m.

The Colfax girl wrestlers also will have an away match Saturday, Dec. 9. They will head to Warden for a girls tournament set to start at 8 a.m.

Colfax junior high wrestlers were expected to host a meet at the high school Wednesday, Dec. 6.

The newspaper went to press before the middle school meet started.
