Max Eugene Wilhelm passed away in Spokane after an extended illness at the age of 83.

He was born in Colfax, Washington, to Herman and Beulah (Miller) Wilhelm on December 6, 1939. Max was the middle child of three. He lived in St. John, Washington and graduated from St. John High School in 1958. Max attended Columbia Basin Community College.

He lived and worked in Boise, Idaho and Huntington Beach, California before returning to the Spokane Valley. Max drove trucks for Garrett Freightlines and Consolidated Freightlines for many years before retiring. He enjoyed trap shooting, tending to his perfect yard and visiting with friends at his favorite "watering hole".

Max is survived by a sister, Karen Wilhelm Johnson and her husband Mike of Colfax and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Joan Willson.
