Daniel L. Becker

April 2, 1955 - Nov. 4, 2023

DANIEL LEE BECKER, 68, beloved husband of Kimberly J. Small Becker, passed away Saturday morning, November 4, 2023 in his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Dan was born and raised in Colfax, Washington. He was a graduate of Eastern Washington University and began his career in the nuclear field at Hanford in Richland, Washington in 1979. In 1991 he relocated to South Carolina where he would continue his successful career at Savannah River Site. In 2008 Dan and Kim would move again...this time they would go "across the pond" to the United Kingdom. While he was dedicated to his career, nothing was more important than his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved the water, being at the beach, building a great sandcastle, going on a treasure hunt, golf, and of course a cold beer with good conversation and laughs.

Following his retirement, Dan traveled extensively and took cross country road trips with Kim. He inherited the Becker family trait of not being afraid to get his hands dirty and when at home, could often be found gardening, woodworking or tinkering in the garage.

Survivors, in addition to the love of his life and wife of 48 years, Kim, include two daughters Melissa (Anthony) Maszczak, Swansea, SC, Marty (Jeff) Pearson, Columbia, SC, his mother Norma Becker of Colfax, WA, brothers Keith (Pam) Becker, Davenport, WA and Mike Becker, Colfax, WA, seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Dan was predeceased by his father Philip Becker and loving sister-in-law Tanya Becker.

Dan touched so many lives and left this Earth a better place just by being here for 68 short years. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, November 28th from 6 until 8 o'clock at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home in Aiken, SC.

A memorial service to celebrate Dan's life will take place on Wednesday, November 29th, at 1 o'clock at St. John's United Methodist Church in Aiken with The Rev. Dr. W. Timothy McClendon officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The Gifting Tree Foundation (http://www.gifting tree.org)

Online condolences can be left at shellhouseriversfuneralhome.com.
