Nighthawk volleyball to play for district title

OAKESDALE — The Oakesdale Nighthawks punched their ticket to state Thursday, Nov. 2, as they defeated the DeSales Irish in straight sets to advance to the district championship match.

Set scores were all in favor of Oakesdale: 25-15, 25-10, 25-17.

With the win, Oakesdale automatically qualified for the WIAA State 1B Tournament. with the first round starting Wednesday, Nov. 8, in Yakima.

In the first set of the game, the Nighthawks jumped to a quick 4-1 lead, before letting the Irish back into the set, trailing by three.
