Bulldogs volleyball cruise into 2B State Playoffs

COLFAX - The district champion Colfax Bulldogs volleyball team are headed to state as the number three seed in the 2B WIAA State Playoff tournament.

The Bulldogs earned their seed after defeating the Tonasket Tigers in straight sets in a winner-to-state match up.

The game was played on Saturday, Nov. 4, and took place in Mead.

Set scores in the match all comfortably favored the Bulldogs: 25-16, 25-10, 25-18.

In the match, Ava Swan had 11 kills, two aces and six digs for the Bulldogs.

Brynn McGaughy, basketball standout who was sidelined for most of the summer and fall with an ankle injury returned to the court in the game for the Colfax volleyball team. She had six kills and one block.

Hailey Demler had six kills, five digs and a block in the game as well.

The Bulldogs played their first game in the state playoffs Wednesday, Nov. 8. The game was played against Walla Walla Valley Academy.
