1B All-League Team Announced

DAYTON - Before the Oakesdale Nighthawks took to the court to compete for the district championship, an awards ceremony was held for the 1B District All-League Team.

The ceremony was held in Dayton on Saturday, Nov.4, before the district championship game.

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse head coach Jenn Johnson and Oakesdale head coach McKinzie Turner both received Co-Coach Of The Year honors.

All-League MVP was Oakesdale outside Payton Davis.

There were six other Whitman County recognized with All-League honors.

From the Eagles, Outside Kaitlyn Hough, setter Julia Guske, and libero Cami Larsen were recognized.

From Oakesdale, outside Brieyn Henley and middle Bradyn Henley were recognized.

From the Garfield-Palouse Vikings, Elena Flansburg was recognized.

As for honorable mentions, the Eagles had outside Emery Molina and middle hitter Kenzie Stanley recognized.

"For all of them, I am thankful that other coaches recognize the hard work that the girls put in, not only during the season but in the off season as well! They are more than deserving of the honor and I am thankful they represent our school in such a positive manner," said Eagles head coach Johnson about her athletes recognized.
