COLFAX — Whitman County District Court reported the following criminal conviction sentences from Oct. 27
Oct. 27
• Kandi M. Rodriguez, was found guilty of criminal trespass 1st degree, and theft 3rd degree. Therefore, the defendant is sentenced to 10 days of jail, with credit for 1 day served to be completed by Nov. 30, 2023. The defendant shall pay the clerk of the court a total of $225.81 in fines. Defendant must have no criminal violations of law or alcohol-related infractions, and serve 12 months of probation. Supervised probation to end upon completion of jail time, the prevention class, and payment of restitution. Probation to terminate completely after 20 days so long as the probation fee is paid and all other obligations are met. Must attend a theft prevention, and pay Pullman walmart.
• Ryder D. Walter, was found guilty of harassment. Therefore, the defendant is sentenced to 120 days of jail. The defendant shall be released on the date of his bed date for inpatient treatment at 6 a.m. and any remaining jail time shall be eliminated with no further time to be served. This crime is an offense which requires sex or kidnapping offender registration, or is one of the following offenses: assault in the fourth degree domestic violence, assault in the fourth degree with sexual motivation, communication with a minor for immoral purposes, custodial sexual misconduct in the second degree, failure to register, harassment, patronizing a prostitute, sexual misconduct with a minor in the second degree, stalking, indecent exposure, or violation of a sexual assault protection order. Therefore, the defendant shall have a biological sample collected, the collecting agency may choose not to collect another sample. Whitman County Jail shall collect a biological sample prior to release. Failure to give a biological sample is a gross misdemeanor. The defendant shall the clerk of the court $150, to be assessed if there is a violation of probation. Defendant must have no violation of law or alcohol-related infractions, unsupervised probation for 12 months, and a substance use disorder evaluation and a mental health evaluation. Defendant must comply with seperate harassment no contact order, and not possess dangerous weapons or firearms.
