Bulldog volleyball runs circles around Kettle Falls

COFLAX — The Colfax Bulldog volleyball team had their most decisive victory of the season over the Kettle Falls Bulldogs.

The game was played Tuesday, Sept. 26, and was in Kettle Falls.

Coming into the game, the Bulldogs were 4-3 on the season, and one a two-game winning streak.

The last loss for the Bulldogs came Tuesday, Sept. 19, against the Lind-Ritzville-Sprague Broncos.

For Kettle Falls, they were 2-3 heading into the game. They had won their first two games of the season before losing three in a row before the Colfax game.

In this game, Colfax completely dominated Kettle Falls in three straight sets.

Colfax went ahead from first serve, and never gave Kettle Falls a chance to breathe in the game.

The first set saw Colfax defeat Kettle Falls 25-9. Kettle Falls failed to score 10 points in the set.

In the second set, Colfax held Kettle Falls to just eight points in the set, their lowest allowed of the season for Colfax. For Kettle Falls, they failed to score 10 points yet again, now in a two set hole.

The third set in the game was still dominated by Colfax, winning the set 25-10.

Colfax took the game in straight sets, and dominated from start-to-finish.

In the game, Ava Swan had six kills and five aces for Colfax. Setter Lauryn York had 11 assists and 10 aces, and Hailey Demler led the way with 12 kills for Colfax.
