Waitsburg hang 70 point on Timberwolves

ROSALIA - The Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves hosted a football game Friday, Sept. 22 against Waitsburg.

After a quick score from both teams, Waitsburg scored 62 unanswered points to win 70-6.

Waitsburg scored nine touchdowns in the game, six of which were in the first quarter.

The only score for Tekoa-Rosalia in the game was in the first quarter, a 67 yard touchdown run.

Both teams ran 29 plays each in the game. Tekoa-Rosalia had 111 total yards, and Waitsburg had 702.

Waitsburg had 342 Passing yards and 360 rushing yards, where as the Timberwolves had 99 rushing yards and 12 passing yards.

For Tekoa-Rosalia, they fumbled twice and threw one interception. Waitsburg did not have a turnover in the game.

In the game, Tekoa-Rosalia player Isaac Bone was injured in the match, and was taken off the field in a stretcher with help from paramedics on the scene.

The next time the Timberwolves will take the field will be Friday, Sept. 29. They will have a home game in Tekoa. Their opponent will be Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian School. Kick off for the game is set for 3 p.m.

The Timberwolves are without a win yet this season. They were shutout their first game against DeSales, and have seen games canceled due to a lack of available players.
