Four Whitman County teams to play at Linda Sheridan Volleyball Tournament in Spokane

COLFAX — The Linda Sheridan Volleyball tournament is a two-day tournament in Spokane that brings in the top schools in the Spokane and surrounding area each year to compete in a tournament.

This year, the tournament is taking place on Friday, Sept. 29 and Saturday, Sept. 30.

Games will be played in four different school locations, depending on day of play and pool.

The schools that will be hosting games are: Shadle Park, Ferris, Rogers, and Lewis and Clark.

The four schools from Whitman County that are set to play are: Colfax, Oakesdale, Pullman, and St. John-Endicott-LaCrosse (SJEL).

Colfax is set to compete on Friday, Sept. 29. They are scheduled to play in Ferris on court three. The other three teams in the Bulldogs pool are: Bonner’s Ferry, Ridgeline JV, and Orting.

For Pullman, they are currently schedule to play Friday, Sept. 29, on Ferris court four starting at 7 p.m.

The other three teams in the Greyhounds pool are: University, Post Falls, and Southridge BC.

Oakesdale is slated to have their pool games on Saturday, Sept. 30, on Ferris court two. They have a three team pool. The other two teams in their pool are Eastmont and Ridgeline.

SJEL is playing their first games Friday, Sept. 29, on Ferris court one.

The three teams they will play will be: Kamiakin, Ferris, and Chelan.

“It will be a great test to see where we are as a team, as well as on the individual level,” said SJEL head coach Jenn Johnson about the tournament.

Johnson also mentioned that the tournament is great for development, and there is always great volleyball at the tournament.
