Innovia Foundation awards scholarships

COLFAX — Innovia Foundation recently awarded $393,038 in scholarships to students throughout Eastern Washington and North Idaho for the 2023-2024 school year, including several from Whitman County towns.

Two St. John Endicott High School students received the Annie Maria Hitchings Memorial Scholarship, including Pedro Molina for $694 and Holley Thomas for $1,386.

The Clarence Hines Scholarship was awarded to four Colfax High School students at $1,000 each, including Jaisha Gibb, Derek Repp, Cadence Monson, and Olivia Ng.

Four Colfax High School students received the Ripley/Schreiber Scholarship for $1,000 each: Tess Lewis, Carsen Gray, Jessa Patnode, Danielle Getz, and Caden Marker.

Also, from Colfax High School, two students, Alex Mortenson and Victoria Dowell, received the Milton and Beth Klettke Scholarship for $3,250 each.

Pullman High School student Kei Bromley received the Lucille I. Hudon Scholarship for $1,500.

Emily Dingman, Oakesdale High School, received the Stoll Scholarship for $2,000.

“As a community foundation, we believe that educational opportunities open the door to success,” CEO of Innovia Foundation Shelly O’Quinn said, noting that they are incredibly honored to partner with so many generous donors in helping students thrive towards their full potential.
