Timberwolves shut out by Irish

TEKOA — The Tekoa-Rosalia football team opened their football season with a rough 32-0 loss at the hands of the DeSales Irish Friday, Sept. 1.

DeSales scored all 32 points of the game in the first quarter, scoring three touchdown runs, one touchdown pass, and scored on a safety from the defense to help the Irish reach 32 points.

The game was then called off after the first quarter as the Irish put up a quick 32 points in the 12 minute quarter, with no sign of slowing down anytime soon.

The Timberwolves managed to reach only three first downs in the game, whereas the Irish reached eight. Tekoa-Rosalia rushed for 52 yards, and the Irish rushed for 157 yards on only eight rushes.

Tekoa-Rosalia did not throw a pass in the game, where DeSales threw two for 63 yards.

The next game for the Timberwolves was scheduled Friday, Sept. 8, as they host Garfield-Palouse, but the game has since been canceled for a lack of available players.
