Suspects take plea agreements for charges

COLFAX— The two suspects facing charges of two drunk driving incidents during the Webb’s Slough Spring Boat Races on June 17 faced Whitman County District Court Thursday, Aug. 24, for plea agreements.
Tanner D. Berzett, 23, of Asotin, was arrested for two counts of felony vehicular assault and drunk driving, reports show.
Berzett, who was reported earlier to have told deputies that he was going too fast, punched the accelerator to swing the pick-up’s rear around, causing it to overturn and injure two of his five passengers, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor DUI, reports show.
