Colfax school board discusses budget, payroll and more

COLFAX — The Colfax School District Board of Directors met Monday, Aug. 28, in the District Office Board Room at 7 p.m. to discuss budget status, accounts payable, and payroll.
Expenses in the General Fund were at $360,375.03 for the accounts payable run Aug. 31, 2023. Capital Projects came to a total of $48,177.35, and the Associated Student Body Fund came to a total of $5,659.08.
School board members then discussed personnel hires, including a new hire for the Para-Educator at Jennings Elementary School (JES), Kindel Evanoff, and Assistant Junior High Football Coach Chris McKiernan....
