WSU researchers warn of in-bound invasive beetle species

OLYMPIA — The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) recently issued a warning to residents as the invasive Japanese beetle (Popillia japonica) has been discovered in the state.
These destructive pests pose a threat to more than 300 plants, including roses, grapes, and hops, affecting both ornamental and agricultural industries.
