Moscow man arrested for drug possession

Over 300 fentanyl pills and meth confiscated

COLFAX — According to a press release from Whitman County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, August 6, deputies arrested Tyson Farley, 44, of Moscow, Saturday on a warrant for possessing a controlled substance out of Latah County and for possessing fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Reports state that deputies were dispatched to a welfare check in the area of Carter Road north of Oakesdale for a vehicle allegedly parked in the exact location all day, with the driver slumped over.

Upon arrival, deputies talked to the driver, who provided a false name, claiming the car broke down and he was waiting for a friend’s ride, reports say.

According to reports, deputies learned that the driver was Farley, who had a felony warrant for his arrest out of Latah County for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Reports state that during a search incident arrest, he was found with three fentanyl pills on his person,

Farley was booked into the Whitman County Jail on his felony warrant out of Idaho.

After further investigation of the case, reports state that deputies received more information and were granted a search warrant for Farley’s vehicle, that was towed from the scene Saturday night.

Reports state that Deputies found 240 blue fentanyl pills, two balloons, one containing 34 fentanyl pills, one containing 28 blue fentanyl pills and a clear plastic bag containing one blue fentanyl pill and methamphetamine.

Farley’s additional charges include Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and making a false statement to a public servant reports state.

Farley’s appeared in Whitman County Superior Court on Monday, August 7.
