Environmental groups to sue Army Corps of Engineers over Snake River dams

COLFAX — Four conservation and fishing groups, including Columbia Riverkeeper, Idaho Rivers United, Idaho Conservation League, and the Northwest Sportfishing Industry Association, have announced their intention to file a lawsuit over the issue of elevated water temperatures in the Snake River.

The marked rise in water temperatures has put the endangered sockeye salmon species at risk of extinction, prompting these organizations to take legal action.
