Tri-County Swimming Championship taking place at Colfax pool Aug. 5

COLFAX — Whitman County swim will come together in Colfax at the Colfax Municipal Pool Saturday, August 5 for the Tri-County Championship swim meet.

The event is scheduled to start at 10 a.m., and will see all teams from the area coming to compete.

The teams attending are: Colfax Swim Team, Pullman Barracudas Swim Team, Pomeroy Swim Team, GPOP, and SELW.

This event will conclude the swim season in the Whitman County area. Teams competed in six meets over three weeks, with their meets taking place at either the Colfax pool, Endicott pool, Palouse pool, or Pullman pool.

The event on Saturday at the Colfax municipal pool is perfect timing for the Colfax swim team. They received their new racing lines for their pool just over a week ago, and are a huge hit.

The new lines are cleaner, easier to see while in the pool, and will not cut and scrape athletes who rub against them, as coaches have said the previous lines in the pool did.

This meet will conclude the 2023 summer swim season for all swim teams in the Whitman County area.
