Colleen Kay Rhuby

July 21, 1964 - July 18, 2023

Colleen Kay Rhuby passed away in her home on July 18, 2023. Colleen's family was everything to her as she was to them.

She was born on July 21, 1964, in Fort Lawton, Seattle, Wash., to Jack (Clifford) and Berylene Deyoung. Colleen later moved and grew up in Thornton, Wash., and the surrounding areas; including Cashup , Elberton, Steptoe and Rosalia where she graduated from high school and met Keith.

Colleen married Keith Rhuby on June 30, 1984. They had three beautiful children who, along with a soon to be granddaughter were her biggest pride and joy in life. She loved to spend her time with family, friends, and her dog Missy. With her infectious smile and contagious laughter it wasn't long before she was the life of the party. She had a great sense of humor and always knew how to have fun.

Colleen spent her time well from boating and camping trips to working in her garden and crafting masterpieces. She loved cooking and was always willing to help those in need, so it was no surprise that she spent many years cooking at WHMC and most recently for those at Council on Aging. She shined brightly everyday and was truly a blessing. We are all better for knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her father Jack (Clifford). Survived by her mother Berylene, three children Ryan, Nick (Andrea) and Megan. Her dog-ter Missy. Two brothers, Doug (Tonya) and John (Kerry). As well as nieces and nephews. Colleen will remain forever loved and missed by those lucky to have known her.

Colleen's service will be held at the Steptoe Community Church located at 15 Cashup Ave. Colfax, WA 99111 on August 19, 2023, at 2 p.m.
