Malden unveils new kiosk

Builder of original kiosk passes torch to Morgan

MALDEN - The City of Malden held the unveiling of Eagle Scout Troop 588 Gabriel Morgan's information kiosk at the Main Street and Moreland Avenue intersection on Tuesday, July 18.

Malden City Clerk and Treasurer Micki Harnois stated that the unveiling went well, bringing in more residents than they thought they would get to come.

"We had a program, and there was a blessing of the kiosk, and then the Mayor read a proclamation," Harnois said, adding that it was because of the dedication to giving them the gift of the kiosk.

Harnois explained that Nathan Richards, who built the first kiosk, did a passing of the torch onto Morgan.

"It was fun to see that," Harnois said, adding that they enjoyed ice cream afterward.

Harnois pointed out a sign that says "Thank you, Gabe," hanging on the Kiosk, noting that the overall event was successful.
