Serving Whitman County since 1877
COLFAX - The Whitman County Library (WCL) hosted the Joshua J. Superstar Show through the Colfax, LaCrosse, Albion, and Rosalia branches July 19, and 20.
Whitman County Library Youth Services Manager Sheri Miller stated that the Innovia Foundation sponsored the free show through a grant for community gathering purposes.
The show came to Colfax at Schmuck Park on Thursday at 10 a.m., which Miller stated was the biggest turnout for an event that the library's summer reading program has had so far this summer.
"We had all ages from babies, toddlers, teens, tweens, and adults," Miller said, adding that some senior citizens were also in attendance.
Miller stated that Whitman County hosted the Superstar Show approximately four years ago to do a tour through the WCL library branches.
Miller explained that the Joshua J. Superstar company is originally from the New York area, but due to having relatives from the Cheney area, they make visits, and the library can contact them when they do.
"They are lovely people who work with our budgets, and they enjoy working with the community," Miller said.
"It was a great opportunity to present that program, and it's a high-end variety show," Miller said, noting that many don't get to see that kind of show in person often.
Miller added that the company enjoyed coming to Colfax, the area and that the WCL is grateful to the Joshua J. Superstar company, CirqOvation.com, for taking the time to share their show in Whitman County.
