Dave Kelly

Dave Kelly, 74, long-time resident of Oakesdale, Wash., and Post Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully at Yuma Regional Medical Center in Yuma, Ariz., on June 4, 2023, with his wife by his side.

Dave was born in Sunnyside, Wash., on August 9, 1948. Dave was a family man who loved the outdoors. The happiest moments of his life were hunting, camping and sitting by the campfire with the people he cared about. Dave was a loyal, hardworking and respectable man.

Dave worked in the fertilizer/chemical industry for many years, first for Gardner and Smith in Oakesdale, Wash., and then the Wilbur-Ellis Company. After retirement Dave worked at Northern-Quest Resort and Casino in Airway Heights, Wash., and the Home Depot in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho.

Dave is survived by his wife, Lynda of Yuma, Ariz., and his two children, Suzie (Alan) Adams of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Mike (Jenn) Kelly of Medford, Oregon. Five grandchildren, David Buchanan of Rathdrum, Jonathon (Emma) Buchanan of Couer D'Alene, Owen, Gwen and Nolan Kelly of Medford. One great-granddaughter, Naomi Buchanan of Rathdrum. His siblings, Jum (Jeri) Kelly, Payy (Kevin) Russell, Chuck (Lynn) Kelly, and Raymond (Ann) Kelly, also included are numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents Jim Kelly and Helen Stiltner, siblings Karen Clark, Denny Kelly, Roger Kelly and Peggy Blechsmidt.

A Celebration of Life for Dave will be held on August 12, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St., Post Falls, Idaho.
