Colfax Junior Rodeo event ends in huge success

COLFAX - The Colfax Junior Rodeo, which took place Saturday and Sunday, June 10 and 11, ended with around 150 contestants from Whitman County and the surrounding areas competing in one spot for junior rodeo success.
"We were very happy, a very good turnout," said Chelsey Startin, parent and organizer of event.
The event was not planned overnight, Startin and others took over the association in September, and started their planning and fundraising for the event then.
"We had barrel races once a month to fundraise for the event. Barrel racing went each month from November-March," Startin said...
