Garfield American Legion in need of members

GARFIELD — Commander Penny Martinez stated that the American Legion Post Number 24 is dwindling in the number of members they need to stay open.

“It is down to 5 of us, and then a couple of people on Zoom that no longer live here but wanted to stay members of our Club,” Martinez said.

The G. Raymond McCown American Legion Post Number 24 is a Washington Non-Profit Fraternal Organization established on May 1, 1939.

Its mission is to provide mutual support to Veterans and their families, and it is committed to mentoring young and sponsoring wholesome programs within the community.
