Kids challenged to read at least 10 hours for prizes
COLFAX — The Whitman County Library (WCL) started its summer reading program Thursday, June 1, themed “All Together Now.”
Those wishing to participate can enter the program challenge through August 31.
Programs and activities planned include craft projects, games, book clubs, and educational programs for those in attendance with neighbors, family, and friends.
The kid’s challenge is reading, or books read to them for 10 hours to receive badge awards, a new book, and prizes.
Teens who read three books and complete three activities by August 31 will receive a free book and be entered into the county-wide drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card.
Patrons of WCL can track their reading journey on the free online Beanstack App.
