Pullman Boys Varsity Tennis completes third consecutive undefeated season with sweep against Clarkston

PULLMAN— The Pullman Greyhounds finished yet another undefeated season as they defeated Clarkston in all seven varsity tennis matches. This is their third consecutive undefeated season.

The Greyhounds have six seniors on their roster. Against Clarkston, seniors Vijay Lin, Kolby Uhlenkott, Kieran Hampson, Brian Fugh, Jesse Tang and Parker Hipp all helped win four of the seven matches against Clarkston.

The seniors on the Greyhounds roster have never lost league or non-league head-to-head match ups.

The defeat against Clarkston was the 42nd consecutive victory for Pullman in team head-to-head, including both leauge and non-league match ups.

In singles, Lin won in straight sets 6-1, 6-0. Fugh won 6-2, 7-5. Sophomore Reed Newell won in straight sets 6-2, 6-1. Junior Benjamin Lee closed out the singles competition with a straight set victory 6-0, 6-1.

In the doubles category, Uhlenkott and Hampson won their match in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. Aditya Bose-Bandyopadhyay and Mir Park won 6-3, 6-1. The final competition of the day was a victory by the Greyhounds doubles team of Tang and Hipp, 6-3, 6-2.
