Garfield 'May Day' this weekend

GARFIELD — Garfield’s annual May Day is scheduled to start Friday, May 19 with celebrations going through Saturday May 20.

The celebration kicks off Friday from 6-9 p.m. downtown with live music, vendors, and a beer garden.

Saturday a full slate of activities are scheduled to run, starting at 7 a.m. with breakfast at Garfield Christian Fellowship.

After the breakfast, be sure to head down to the corner of California and 2nd St. for the Poker run. Registration is from 7:30-8 a.m. with the race beginning at 8 a.m.

Following the run will be the Kiddie Parade which takes place at 10:45 a.m.

The big day parade will follow the Kiddie Parade shortly after, kicking off at 11 a.m.

Be sure to stay all day for vendors, a silent auction, biking obstacle courses, food, activities for kids, and more.

Be sure to take time out during this weekend to make the trip to see all the Garfield May Day has to offer.
