Council on Aging free vouchers for farmer's market coming soon

COLFAX — The Council on Aging (COA) gives senior vouchers for farmer’s markets to those over 60, annually.

This year, they will probably be in their hands in the next two weeks, stated Council on Aging Executive Director Paige Collins on Wednesday, May 10.

Collins explained that the senior farmer’s market vouchers have $80 a piece to use this year and will be available for pick-up at the COA office, 210 South Main Street.

This year, Collins stated that the vouchers would be on a card, adding that they’re usually in checkbook-type format.

“They’re changing it into an EBT card type thing,” Collins said, adding that seniors can call the office and give us their name and phone number for anyone in Whitman County, and they will make sure they’re on the list.

Collins further explained that the card vouchers would be good at Moscow’s Farmer’s Market, Pullman, and the Chevron station produce stand in Colfax.
